I am Dr. Gregory Rogers. In 1992 I was a major in the U.S. Air Force, serving as the Chief of Aerospace Medicine at the 45th Space Wing. Our operations covered Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Patrick Air Force Base, the Eastern Space and Missile Center, and the Eastern Missile Range. As a flight surgeon, I was attached to NASA at Kennedy Space Center from the DDMS office. This was the DoD agency supporting manned spaceflight operations for the space shuttle.

Part of my duties involved oversight of the medical and safety aspects that were performed by the primary contractor for base operations at Cape Canaveral, which happened to be EG&G. Anyone interested can look up their history and find interesting things. One day in 1992, I had arranged for an EG&G escort to show me some changes in operations at three facilities on the Cape. I met with the escort and he took me to all three buildings.

As I was leaving the third facility, a major that I did not recognize stopped me in the hallway and told me that he had something to show me. He said it was something even I had never seen. I asked him to show it to me. He then took me into a nearby office with four computer stations. He locked the door and shut the blinds so no one could see in. He went to what I assumed was his computer station, turned on his computer and monitor, then began to search for something. He then had a picture come up on his screen, told me this was what it was. He slid one chair to his left to allow me to view the screen. Sure enough, it was something I had never seen!

The screen showed a closed circuit feed from what appeared to be a typical military flight hangar. The video showed no classification marking, date stamp, location stamp, or time stamp. What O was very surprising because it was a craft with the form of a flying saucer. Its surface was white and pearly smooth. There were no rivets, seams, doors, windows, flight control surfaces or visible propulsion systems. It had horizontal black rectangles along the beam from the 12:30 to 2:30 position, the 3:30 to 5:30 position, and I later saw that these extended from the 6:30 to 8:30 position and 9:30 to 11:30 position. On the upper half of the vehicle, there were vertical black rectangles at the 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions. On top of this vehicle was a small rounded dome, and a mast protruded directly upward from the dome. At the top of the mast, three umbilical lines were attached and these extended beyond the extent of the screen upward.

I looked at this major and asked, “Who would build something like that?” He declined to answer this question. I then asked, “Why would we design a vehicle that looked like this?”  He curled his fingers into a fist, with his thumb protruding directly skyward. He pointed upward with his thumb and stated, “We go it from THEM!”

Over the next few minutes, the vehicle activated and slowly levitated off the concrete floor. Next, it rotated clockwise for 360 degrees. In doing this, I saw that at what I am designating as the 12 o’clock position was the writing: U.S. Air Force. Just above that was the U.S. flight insignia. This really blew me away!

The vehicle rotated counter-clockwise 360 degrees to its original position. It then moved left and right, then forward and backwards, as though someone was testing its basic flight controls. It then moved to where the nose rose to a 45-degree angle and then remained motionless. I have flown helicopters and fixed wing aircraft, and I understood that this was something none of our aircraft could do

Just then, there was a knock on the door and someone asking why this door was locked. The other major instantly turned off his computer and monitor, looked desperately at me and whispered, “Don’t tell ANYONE I showed this to you!!!” He then opened the door and a Lt. Col. and two Captains walked in. The Lt. Col. Again asked why the door had been locked with the  blonds closed. The major said, “I had a skin lesion at a sensitive location so I showed it to doc. I did all of that for my privacy. All four men then turned to look at me.

This was 1992, and I knew the ropes enough to know that you don’t tell officials that you just saw video of a reverse-engineered flying saucer undergoing testing. Since there was no classification markings, I chose to keep quiet about this event. I commented that the skin lesion was not cancer and that I needed to get back to my clinic. I then immediately left the office and the facility. I never returned to that facility.

This is a very abbreviated summary of these events. From 1992 until I retired earlier this year, I disclosed this information only to my wife, and only fifteen years later. I retired on 30 APR 25 and gave an interview to Josh Bowell from the UK Daily Mail and to Tyler Roberts from Total Disclosure. Four day later, the story had exploded and I was in Newsweek, The NY Post, and the story spread all over the world. I gave more detailed information to Jesse Michels on American Alchemy and to Gary Anderson on Forbidden Realms

It has been a wild ride!

What Is Space Weather?

While I worked as a USAF/NASA flight surgeon at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, I learned

that space weather matters. A lot!

Space weather refers to the conditions in space that are influenced by the Sun. It creates a

“solar wind” of ionized radiation particles that bombard our planet. It can also create dangers

like solar flares, coronal mass ejections (CMEs), and geomagnetic storms. Unlike everyday

weather, which occurs in the Earth's atmosphere, space weather takes place in the region

between the Sun and Earth, as well as in Earth's upper atmosphere and magnetosphere. This is

why we have “northern and southern lights” at the poles. It is also where our satellites live!

Modern society relies very heavily on technology that is highly sensitive to space weather.

Powerful solar events can. For example, a terrible geomagnetic storm known as the Carrington

Event disrupted telegraphs across the entire nation in 1859. A similar event today would induce

electrical currents that would seriously damage transformers, disrupt satellite operations, disturb

our GPS navigation, radio and television communications, and even disrupt our electrical grids.

Airplanes flying at high altitudes and polar routes would experience communication blackouts

and increased radiation exposure. If perilous enough, this type of severe CME could affect the

entire planet!.

More to come next week!

Part Two:

Impacts on Human Health and Safety

Even moderate space weather can pose health risks to astronauts, aircrews, and even for

airline passengers. Military flight crews, airline crews and their passengers can be at risk when

traveling at high altitudes during solar storms. This is particularly important when flying near the

poles because the atmosphere and magnetosphere is less protective.

Increased radiation from solar storms can be highly dangerous for astronauts in space,

especially those outside the protection of Earth's magnetic field. For any trip to Mars, special

radiation “bunkers” would be needed for the safety of the astronauts!

Scientific and Economic Importance

Studying space weather helps our scientists better understand the Sun-Earth connection and is

allowing them to better predict solar activity. NASA studies the sun’s outer corona because it

can reach 2 million degrees Fahrenheit, even while the surface stays at only 10,000 degrees.

The first satellite to study the sun was The Solar Maximum Mission satellite (or SolarMax). It

was designed to investigate solar phenomena in new fashions, particularly solar flares and

CMEs. It was launched on February 14, 1980. NASA had to launch a repair mission using

space shuttle in 1984. It continued its research until 1989.

Proba-3, which includes two satellites, were launched just last year to help scientists get a

better comprehension of the sun’s activities. The mission will use a two-spacecraft setup to

improve their observations of the corona, the sun's outer atmosphere.

This knowledge enables governments, industries, and utilities to prepare for and mitigate the

impacts of space weather events by protecting satellites, along with sensitive electrical and

internet infrastructures. Space weather monitoring by NASA and the Space Force defends our

modern American tay of

Best of Ufo Photos

A real UFO photo usually comes with contextmultiple witnesses, a clear timeline, original files with intact metadata, and consistency with radar or other sensor data. Fake images fall apart fast: they’re often over-sharpened, lack scale or reference points, reuse old hoaxes, or appear without a verifiable source just a dramatic story and no trail.

People spread fake UFO material for the same reason tabloids always have: attention, control of the narrative, or money. In ufology, mystery is currency confusion keeps clicks coming, discredits serious cases, and ensures that when something truly unexplained appears, it’s buried under noise instead of examined.

The 1950's Broke Lose On Ufo's

In the early 1950s, ufology really took shape as a public phenomenon.

After the 1947 Roswell incident and Kenneth Arnold’s flying saucer sighting, reports of strange objects in the sky exploded. The Korean War and the start of the Cold War added fear and urgency people wondered if UFOs were Soviet technology, secret U.S. aircraft, or something non human.

The U.S. Air Force responded with investigations like Project Sign (1948) and Project Grudge (1949), which were cautious but skeptical. In 1952, things peaked when UFOs were reported over Washington, D.C., prompting press conferences and public panic. That led to Project Blue Book, aiming to calm the public and explain sightings as weather balloons, aircraft, or misidentifications—though not everyone was convinced.

By the mid-50s, ufology split into two paths: official debunking and civilian researchers who believed something extraordinary was being hidden. That divide still defines the field today.

Lots Of Ufo Mysteries

Throughout the history of ufology, especially from the 1950s onward, sensational tabloid-style publications weekly papers, supermarket headlines, and later online click-driven outlets—have played a major role in muddying the waters. Their business model depends on shock, fear, and novelty, not accuracy. UFO stories were perfect: mysterious, hard to disprove, and emotionally charged. By exaggerating sightings, inventing “insider sources,” or blending real cases with outright fiction, these outlets guaranteed attention and sales, even if the information was false or misleading.

The damage was twofold. First, it discredited legitimate researchers and witnesses by surrounding real, unresolved cases with absurd claims. Second, it created a public perception that all UFO reporting was unreliable, making serious inquiry easier to dismiss. Whether driven by profit, influence, or simple notoriety, these publications helped turn ufology into a cultural sideshow one where truth became harder to separate from entertainment, and skepticism became the default response.
